Sandys, Tracks, Wendys, Master Lock, and i was wrong...

Today was another furlough Friday. you know what that means... i'm babysitting kids all day. ha ha.

So this morning i picked up Joy Haynes and Heidi Choi and head to Sandys to meet up with Maile Edwards. When we got there, it was super sunny and nice! BUT when we got ready to go out to shoot, it got cloudy and wind picked up... why does this happen to me all the time!
the girls are ready to surf!

The water was so clean, i had to take some underwater shots too.

Maile

Heidi

I haven't seen Heidi in a while and i think she learned how to walk on water. She was running on water chasing the wave and tripped on something. ha ha.

The waves weren't the best but girls had fun. come on, can't fake this smile!

When you surf Sandys, watch out for these things. Some of them stick out really far!

After our session we said good bye to Maile and picked up Jenna Forti and head to west side to meet up with Bailey Nagy and Mahina Maeda, hoping for better waves. Waves over there weren't that good... we ended up at Tracks and surfed rest of the day. We ran into bunch of other kids there too like: Kaulana Apo, Devin and Jordan Brueggemann, and Kaoli Kahokuloa.

Mahina found this where you park at Tracks.
A key thing from a car. Bad guys know when surfers go surfing, we are gone for a while and we leave everything in our cars (wallet, money, clothes, etc) so everyone please be careful.

I myself have the best security system... a broken windshield! bad guys see that and think "this guy can't even afford a new windshield! he's not gonna have anything!" ha ha.

nah, nah. i really do have a good security system installed on my car and i leave my key in one of these things.

Master Lock 5400D. this thing is awesome! It's big enough to put my key and remote for my security system. Also it's great when you go surfing with people so when someone wants to come in early, you don't need to handover the key in the water or come in with him/her to open the car.

You can find these at your local hardware stores and i've noticed some surf shops are starting to carry them too. so go get one! no more hiding your key while bad guys are hiding watching you, handing over the key and losing it in the water, or cutting your session short because your buddy's having a bad day.

After our session we found out Jenna has never been to Wendy's. so we stopped by Wendy's on our way home for some food and their classic Frosty!
We were telling Jenna she needs to use a spoon but she just had to try to use a straw. you should've seen her face when she tried, she looked like she was going to pass out! ha ha.

loooong day. i was with Joy and Heidi 830am to 830pm. and the craziest part is, they never ran out of stuff to talk about. ha ha.

i always tell kids that they never pay attention to anything but i think i was wrong. Joy gave me a beach chair and Mahina gave me a travel coffee mug for xmas. They got me exactly what i needed!

Chair cuz kids always break mine and the last one i had was held together by duct tape, and travel coffee mug cuz i was using my oooooold one and sipping on not so hot coffee every contest mornings.

i was surprised how they were actually paying attention! Thanks girls!
