New video webisode is out! There was the 35th Annual North Shore Menehune Contest at Ali'i beach past couple of weekends. It is a fun event for kids 12 and under. The first weekend was fun knee high waves for younger kids and the 2nd weekend was over head waves for older kids. There were tons of stoked kids for 2 weekends straight!

NEW HSA entry form!

I got an email from HSA and they now have a NEW entry form with new divisions and entry fees.

"We recently held a Board meeting and have made some big changes at HSA. We have changed all of our divisions to match the Surfing America age groups. We also lowered the entry fee for the youth 17 under age groups effective with the next contest and will credit those who paid for future events in advance (past event payments remain unchanged). "

S3W41: Red Bull Rivals 2011 Town vs Country at Sandys Beach

Red Bull held it's event, Red Bull Rivals 2011 Town vs Country, this past Saturday. I love this event because the surfers were voted in and the teams get to surf against each other for bragging rights! There's always friendly rivalry between South Shore and North Shore and this is a great way for surfers to battle, SURF!

The waves were small waist to chest high at Half Point, where water is only about 6 inches deep above sharp reefs. Surfers were ripping out there tho, no wonder why these surfers were voted into the event!

I had the youngest competitors of the events, Noa Mizuno (South Shore) and Devin Brueggemann (North Shore) to host this webisode. Thanks boys!

The losing team had to give their boards to winning team at the end and the boards were donated to Surfrider Foundation. Great people, great weather, friendly competitions, and just plain fun event! Thank you Red Bull for holding this fun event again!

Paradise

When I was done with what I wanted to take care of today, it was already too late to hit North Shore. I ended up surfing town and there were some fun waves.
Not many people out so Brisa and I had a really fun session.
The waves were fun and the sky was amazing.
Just another day living in paradise!
