Today was Eddie's Opening Ceremony at Waimea bay. This opening ceremony is always very spiritual and special every year. It's not a groms' event but i wanted to be there to be part of this special event.

So many legends in one place praying for huge waves and everyone's safety. it's definitely one of many things i can't describe in words. if you ever have a chance to be there for this event, BR THERE!!

Since there are some big waves this year, they only let the invitees paddle out. i think it was a smart idea, i think people would've got hurt if they let anyone paddle out.
And after the ceremony, there's always food and live entertainment!
Tons of groms where there to witness this special event!
Like i mentioned before, there were some big waves. Kapu Ping and Derek Wong was out there surfing while the ceremony was going on taking advantage of empty Waimea.
It's good to see these young guys surfing Waimea on their 9+' boards!
Another great day here in Hawaii! Tomorrow is an Annual Sunset Elementary School Surf Night! Where tons of pros are going to be signing autographs and raffle tickets for tons of prizes! it's going to be fun!!
