The man in tights!

I got a call from McGills and they invited me to go to Finn's school play. As soon as they said Finn's going to be in tights, i was sold! I had to go get some black mailing footage.

Since i wanted to beat the traffic, i went up there early and joined some kids at Rockies.

Check out Dax's watch from Vestal, it got her name on it! How sick is that.

The play was pretty good. Cool thing about Sunset Elementary is that they are always so many surfer kids going there. I know there are few future CT surfers in this group!

Did i get to see Finn in tights? YES! anyone can wear tights but i think Finn's the only one who was man enough to wear green tights. haha.

S3W37: Free Surf Sessions, Aug & Sept

There were some fun swells in Town and North Shore in Aug & Sept, and I was filming all the young surfers here in Hawaii. The level of surfing of young surfers here in Hawaii is insane! It's amazing to see how everyone gets better at surfing so fast. Check it out yourself!

Everyone, meet Cayla Moore! A surfer girl from Oahu who's been improving on her surfing a lot lately. You might have seen her in the movie Bethany Hamilton's "Soul Surfer" as a girl who asked Bethany for her autograph. She's cute, funny, talented, little goofy and all around a great girl. S3W35: A Day with Cole Yamakawa, Surf Town and North Shore

Cole Yamakawa got his driver's license and a car recently. He came picked me up early in the morning this weekend for a day long surf adventure. Talk about a long day. We drove all over to find fun waves all day. We went to Big Rights, Velzyland, Bowls, and Kewalos. Check out the video to find out what kind of waves we scored!

Due to permit conflict, NO Courts event this weekend. It has been moved to Queens on 24-25 of Sept.

Not bad

Not too bad in north shore today. Thought it'll be little better tho. Think town will be better so back to town later. Haha

It was pretty fun for the 1st north shore swell.

Waves in north shore

Got some fun size waves in North Shore today. Not bad for early Sept.

Yeah Keanu! Go kick some A$$!

Keanu Asing did amazing at the Quiksilver Pro trial. He made the final but came in close 2nd. They are only taking the winner into the main event...
But NO! Dane pulled out from the event and Keanu got in! That's right, Keanu's in a CT event at New York! The 1st CT event for him but i know it won't be the last the way he's been working hard. So stoked for Keanu.

Check it out, he got the 3rd heat against Ace Buchan.
Most likely the event will be on tomorrow at 7am EST, that means 1am over here in Hawaii. I'm all of Hawaii's young surfer's #1 fan so you know i'll be watching on my computer! http://quiksilverpro.com

I guess my sleeping schedule will be all messed up but who cares!

S3W34: South Swell of the Decade at Big Bowl

We got the south swell of the decade this past week. I don't remember the last time when waves broke outside of the red buoy. The red buoy were washed into the shore middle of the night when the swell peaked. The waves were too big for some kids but some of them were out there enjoying the rare big south swell. If you aren't familiar with Big Bowls, waves only break there when the waves are big. On normal swell, Big Bowls will break once every hour or so but on this swell Big Bowl was breaking even between sets.
