WOW, did you guys get to see Carissa Moore winning the TSB Bank Women's Surf Festival ASP event? It was amazing! The final was between Carissa and Sally Fitzgibbons, the youngest final ever on a CT event.
They were both surfing unreal. Carissa won with 9.33 and 9.83. If you think watching girls event is boring, you really need to watch these girls surf!
Congrats Carissa for your first CT event win as a Touring ASP surfer!
Now she better hurry back to Hawaii cuz she needs to go to school so she can graduate from Punahou!
We were all inspired by Carissa so off we go to Kewalos!
Little smaller today but still fun! I surfed for like 10 minutes. it really was a 10 minute session including paddling out, catching one wave and paddling in. ha ha.
I paddled in cuz the rights were lining up really nice and i wanted to shoot with flash like i used to do.
The wind was cold but as soon as kids saw me with a camera, they were all back in the water for a evening session.
My camera setting for kind of photos i like to get, i really only have 10 minutes window to shoot and they need to be pretty close to me. so i was making kids just go on anything! ha ha.
I'm posting the photos in the order i shot so you can see what i mean.

Derek Wong. I used to shoot with Derek all the time and one of the best shots i got was shooting in the evening with flash. Just like today, all we had was 10 minutes to get the shot.

Keanu Asing. Too far!!!! btw, i'm shooting with a fisheye lens so he was like 10 ft away. that's still too far... he needs to be under 5 ft away from me.
