I picked up Joy Haynes, Jenna Forti and Heidi Choi today to go surf. I haven't seen Heidi in a long time so i was so stoked to go surfing with her.
see the huge bucket Heidi is holding? that's 70 bags of sunflower seeds for me as a birthday present from Heidi! i love sunflower seeds and i eat them all the time while i'm shooting photos or filming on land. Thank you Heidi! the bucket should last me about a week! ha ha.
We went to Kaka'ako first because the girls wanted to practice for the contest this coming weekend, but it was flat... so we went Kewalos instead.
there were some waves but it didn't look that good. there was only 3 people out since it wasn't that good. the girls didn't care, they were out there to surf!
we surfed, dropped off Joy cuz she had an appointment with her orthodontist and went back to Kewalos for our 2nd session.
there were lot more kids out there surfing this time. including Isaiah and Seth Moniz who just came back from Bali and Japan!

During our first session Geoff, Rusty team manager, and i had a bet. whoever does more 360s in 30 minutes wins dinner! 360s are pretty much only thing i can do so guess who won?
thanks Geoff for buying me dinner! i'd have lost the bet if it was any move other than 360s, but Geoff was the one who picked the move so i didn't feel bad at all. ha ha.
Surfer magazine posted the new HOT 100 (top 100 young surfers in the world) list.
Got many of Hawaii surfers on the list and super stoked for the kids who made the list BUT i really don't agree with the list. It just looks like a California guy picking his favorite young surfers, specially on the groms list. i hope Surfer magazine will actually come down to Hawaii and check out the talents next year. oh well, i guess we all have different opinions.
Remember how Zeke and I have a $500/Civic bet going? well, he's taking it serious! the last Tweet he posted today was "Staying home to do homework today!" and posted this photo.
good job Zeke and i hope you get a 3.19 GPA so i still win! ha ha.
