That's Elle on the left helping the girls out strapping their boards.
i think Elle is going to trip out when she really finds out how it is to have 20 kids always screaming at you all day... so today, i started her off with just 2 kids, Sierra Ondo (CC) and Maile Edwards. ha ha.
CC and Maile were already at Kewalos when Elle and i got there. the girls had her 1st session already but the waves were small and the condition was really bad too.
while we were there trying to figure out what we are going to do, Kylen and Cole Yamakawa showed up. Cole wanted to test out his new board so he went surfing but Kylen decided to fish.
Kylen has been telling me how he can get a fish every time he casts, so we had to go check that out!

30 minutes into fishing and nothing...
Kylen was telling us that he needs bread and that's the reason why he wasn't catching anything. yeah right, Kylen, you are all talk! ha ha.
CC and Maile was getting bored watching Kylen catch NOTHING, so they decided to go surf again.
Today was Kylen's lucky day! an uncle showed up with a loaf of bread and he gave Kylen some of them so he can prove to us that he wasn't just all talk.
You know me by now, so what do i do when people are really confident about something?? I BET!! so Kylen and I had a bet going. one cast, one dollar. if he gets a fish, he wins $1. if he doesn't get a fish, i win $1.
It's on!!
i kept winning and we kept doing double or nothing so i was up to $16! at $16, Kylen wanted to just start betting $1 each cast. i told him once i hit $20, it's over.
He started catching some fish, but too late. I won my $20!!
i don't know why he was smiling, he just lost $20! ha ha.
The waves got better so everyone went out to surf. i bet Kylen was crying in the water. ha ha.
Ezekiel Lau showed up and we had a CRAZY bet! i'm talking $400-$500 in value! i'll edit the video and post it soon so keep checking back!
Tomorrow is the last day of NSSA Regionals, it should be fun with decent size waves! oh and Kylen will be wearing his "good luck" wetsuit top from Sayuri in his final.
Good luck Kylen and don't forget to bring MY $20!!
