I was right, Eddie was a no go today. there were some good size waves but not enough of them coming in.i have new found respect to people at Quiksilver. I thought they might run it since Quiksilver has spent so much money setting everything up over night, getting the judges, contest organizers, and other people.
i'm so stoked they didn't. they didn't lower the standard of this most prestige surf event in the world! Good job Quiksilver!
well, here's a photo of one of the waves at Waimea today. yeah, HUGE. too bad these only came once every 30 minutes or so.
