Congrats Carissa! She became the WORLD CHAMP! Making history AGAIN. she's the youngest world champ ever (both mens and womens) at 18. she also made 6 out of 6 finals this year, which is another record. BUT i'm more proud of her for achieving what she's achieved and went to real school. well, harder than normal school, Punahou. So many kids these days are quick to do home school so they can have the freedom to surf whenever they feel like.
Carissa has proven that you can get a real education and still become a world champ. I know it wasn't easy. I used to see her at the beach super early before school and train and surf after school.
