So many people are calling me texting me about HSA, so here's what's going on!
NO CONTEST THIS WEEKEND. They will be running a contest on Feb. 27th and 28th at Maili Point OR Sandys beach.
As for NSSA, it's Regional Championship Entry form is online now on www.NSSAHawaii.com! So go there and download the entry and mail it in if you are planning on doing it!
Also, the next NSSA is scheduled at Haleiwa on Feb. 20th and 21st.
my plan today was to do an oil change on my wagon and go surf, but i forgot but it's Punahou Carnival today and tomorrow! I live by Punahou School so i hate it's carnival! 2 days out of the year, it's impossible to find parking if i leave my house.
so i decided not to surf and just take care of my wagon.
like i posted before, i found a coolant leak when i was changing the oil. so i fixed that while i had all the tools out. the best part of doing the maintenance on my own car is finding these little problems before they become a huge problem! it was a little leak and i bet if i took my car in for an oil change, no one would've seen it and i'm sure it would've turned into a huge leak within next 3,000 mile.
one thing i've been meaning to do for a while was clearing out crap out of my front fenders. that's where all the water from your windshield go and lot of stuff end up in there. once there are stuff in the fenders, water doesn't drain well and you end up with rust. you've seen cars with rusty fenders, that's how they get them.
so i unbolted bottom part of the fenders, pulled the plastic cover and this is what i saw!
so much mud, leaves, and crap! see how it's holding moisture and ready to cause some rust damage.
I even found a pen in there. how did this get in there?? ha ha.
The driver side was dry but looks like i already got some rust... :(
i'm going to have to take care of that soon before it gets worse.
look at all the stuff came out of my fender! i'm thinking i was the first one ever to clean this out on this wagon... that's 20 years of stuff!
now the water drain holes are unclogged!
fresh oil, no more coolant leak, and no more mud, sand, leaves and a PEN clogging the water draining holes on my 1990 Camry wagon! it's got little over 192,000 miles on it but i bet this thing is running way better than lot of newer cars with less than 100,000 miles on them! and everything on my wagon works, even the AC!!
so kids, Kaz's surf shuttle is ready to take you all over the island! now with an ipod input on the stereo too!
just one thing... can you kids stop leaving your trash in the back seat?? i keep finding so much rubbish in the back! i even found a half eaten apple and banana peels before, stinking up the whole car!! ha ha.
