HSA and NSSA

Seems like lot of you are little confused so here's what's going on with HSA and NSSA.

To qualify for States in HSA, you need to do a minimum of 5 contests AND ranked top 6 in your division. They determine the ranking by the TOTAL points. Not just top 5 points.

NSSA is top 4 scores and Regionals to qualify to National. Not total of all the events you've done.

NSSA update

NSSA Regionals entry form is up on www.nssahawaii.com now.  Deadline date is Feb 20, 2011. So don't forget!

Iphone 4 on Verizon on Feb 10th! Pros and Cons you should know.

i know this has nothing to do with surfing but i know how important it is for you groms to have the "cool" phone so here it is.

Apple and Verizon are releasing iPhone4 on Feb. 10th.

BUT before you go crazy and go get one, here are few things i don't like about Verizon iPhone 4.

1, Cases available for At&t iPhone 4 will NOT fit Verizon iPhone 4. They had to move the volume and audio on/off switches a little so make sure you get the right case.

2, you CANNOT use internet while you are on the phone. maybe it's not big deal to some people but i go online while on the phone all the time to search for stuff or check the Map to see where i'm going.

3, Verizon just eliminated their "new phone every 2 years" policy. from what i understand, you won't be getting the huge discount on new iPhone once you are with Verizon.

4, Apple always comes up with new iPhone around July every year. so if you get an iPhone 4, new iPhone 5 (or what ever they are going to call it) is coming out in few months.

Here are some stuff i like.

1, i know Verizon got the most reliable network and from other people's reviews, Verizon iPhone 4 gets way less dropped calls.

2, Verizon will be offering $30 unlimited data for a while. (Just like at&t did in the beginning)

3, Verizon iPhone 4 comes with personal "hot spot" option. (you need to pay extra to use it) you can connect to internet using iPhone 4 on up to 5 devices, like laptops. i've hear at&t is coming up with the same thing on their next OS version.

4, it's an iPhone 4! You Verizon people can finally use iPhone 4! I'm sure people will be jailbreaking them to use on Sprint too.

so i guess think hard before you jump on it cuz it's not cheap... not only the phone itself but the monthly fees are high too.

if you are getting one, i heard Best Buy will be selling them on the 10th along with Apple stores and Verizon stores.
