New issue of FreeSurf as Zeke and Keanu as guest editors!

This weather sucks! It's raining all day and waves are all blown out.

Since i can't surf or shoot, i've been checking up on what's going on as far as how Hawaii groms are doing exposures wise.

Found out FreeSurf magazine got the new issue out and this one is great!

They had Ezekiel Lau and Keanu Asing as guest editors and they did a good job.
This issue got tons of great free surfing photos and ads of Hawaii's up and coming groms. Thank you FreeSurf for supporting the groms!

Here's a photo i took of the Kewalos boys. FreeSurf needed all the names so i emailed them and they just used what i wrote as is. it's pretty funny cuz since Kaito was hidden in the shade, i explained where he was and they just printed it too. why is Kaito so funny without trying to be funny. ha ha.

Hawaii Jr Surf Team autograph signing tomorrow - Volcom VQS Championships Qualifiers posted on their site

Tomorrow (Saturday) Verizon Hawaii Jr Surf Team will be at Verizon Kapolei (by Target) for an autograph signing session starting at noon!

If you want to meet and get autographes of future world champs, this will be the place to be!

Volcom posted its VQS Championships qualifiers on their site.

The Squids division is not listed for some reason. I've contacted them about it so hopefully they post the qualifiers for the Squids division soon.

Registration will begin on April 1st. If you did qualify, make sure your name is on the list NOW. that way if you did qualify and don't see your name, you can straighten up everything before April 1st!

Kickflip!

i know people been trying to do kickflip on surfboard for a long time, specially since volcom offer $10,000 to the first one to get it on film back in 2007.

i think this one is the winner. This one is clean and the guy made sure he rode it through.

Great job Jenna Forti! - Congrats Matt Meola!

man, i feel like i finally got some well needed rest! I finally got to take care of things i had to like going to the bank, getting my safety check done, etc.

on my way back home, i went to check out Jenna Forti's first Water Polo game. I used to play so it was cool watching the game.

i just sat there and stayed quiet cuz i didn't want to be that guy who becomes a coach, yelling what they should be doing, when he should be sitting there watching. it was hard tho, there were times i wanted to yell out stuff. ha ha

Jenna was about to shoot but this guy walked right infront of me... thank you sir.

They won! she played well. she didn't score but had an assist and that nice block! i love seeing surfer kids getting involved with school team sports. i think it teaches them importance of training and dealing with people.

Good job Jenna! look, she's stoked with a big smile! ha ha.

I'm sure you've all heard by now that Matt Meola is one rich guy for winning $100,000! so stoked for him! and i think he deserves it too. amazing surfing from this 21 yr old.

a decent session - never have to pick him up... EVER!

I picked up Zeke in the afternoon to go surf Kewalos. yes, his truck's still not fixed since he's waiting for me to fix it for him. I don't remember signing up to be his personal mechanic but according to him, i need to pick him up until i fix his truck. ha ha.

the waves looked really good when we got there. We saw Kaito killed the left, if it was a contest, it was about an 8.5 ride. BUT as soon as Zeke and i paddled out, the waves got worse. ha ha.

we had a decent time tho.

when i dropped Zeke off, i was tired of giving him a ride so i decided to look at his truck again. it's the 3rd time trying to fix his truck.

Call me a genius! I fixed Zeke's truck!
It's working now so i don't have to pick him up... EVER!! i hope it never breaks down again. ha ha.

S3W8: A Day With Noa and Malia Mizuno

Noa and Malia Mizuno invited me to spend the whole Sunday with them. To them, it was just another typical Sunday but to me, it was an very exhausting day. I don't know where they store so much energy in their little bodies!
