being sick sucks! - now that's impressive!

i've been sick as a dog this past few days. (btw, who came up with that saying? sick as a "dog"?!?! i don't really get it cuz i have hardly seen any really sick dogs. ha ha) so i've been staying home trying to rest as much as i can.

i've checking out lot of sites catching up on what's going on in the industry and getting more ideas for what i want to do to improve Novus Swell.

nothing really impress me these days as far as surfing goes.

i wasn't impressed that much when Mark Visser surfed Jaws at night... i mean it was cool and all but i just thought it was just a stunt to make news.

i wasn't impressed when Chuck Patterson used skis to surf (or i should say "ski") jaws. another stunt to make news.

BUT when i saw this, i was impressed!
can't believe these guys paddled into Jaws. i know there were some locals trying to paddle into Jaws before tow-in got big, but once tow-in became popular, i haven't really heard anyone trying to paddle in anymore.

here's the link to the article/photos/videos.

i just gotta say, these guys got some huge balls!

S3W5: Devin Brueggemann

Meet 10 year old little ripper from Ewa Beach, Devin Brueggemann. Devin's been ripping both free surfing and contests. He's been doing well in NSSA Hawaii and HSA. If he keeps working hard, he should be able to qualify to National Championships this year in California.

Enjoy the video and get to know Devin!

Super Bowl weekend at the beach - Kaito's beach clean up in a storm - thank you everyone!

happy monday after super bowl everyone! i'm sure lot of you spent time watching the game but i spent my time at Tracks over the weekend. it was almost like being at a private beach since we were the only ones there.

check out Keanu Ikalani's board. there's so much going on, i think it'll take me hours to see what's on it. i thought it was really creative.

yes, i love sneaking into other people's photos. i'm sure Nicole was thinking "oh great, he just ruined my nice photo". ha ha

it's always great spending time with your friends.

before we left, i had to make sure Kaito does his 30 minutes beach cleanup for leaving rubbish in my van. it was kindda crazy because as soon as he started, it started raining and the wind was blowing like 30mph! we just stayed inside the van while Kaito was struggling out there. ha ha.
i'm pretty sure he'll never leave any rubbish in my van from now on after this.

thank you Tammy Moniz for sending me these photos!
i'm so used to having kids around but i never seen from other people's perspective.

feel very loved seeing these photos. thank you Tammy for the photos and thank you all the kids and families for letting me being part of your lives!
