Easily fascinated

So today I made Kaz lunch since he picked us up! I made him gumbo and a sandwich. With his lunch I gave him a spoon. But the cool thing about this spoon is it's made from POTATOES! I grabbed a bunch from whole foods cause I was just super fascinated. Maybe I'm just super easily fascinated

S2E25: Hawaii Groms at Surfing America USA Championships 2010 at Trestles

Bunch of Hawaii surfer kids who qualified to go to Surfing America USA Championships and I spent some time in California last month. Everyone from Hawaii did really well. All divisions included at least one surfer from Hawaii and Boys U14 division final was all Hawaii kids! Congrats to all surfers who qualified and invited to this event! Enjoy the video!

Arnette All Day Antics contest at Kewalos, Congrats Sister!

It was Arnette All Day Antics at Kewalos today. it was a free contest for all the groms so there were some new faces in the mix.

here are the winners.

Barren Mamiya won U10 division! (All the way on the right)

Shun Murakami (who came all the way from Japan) won U14 division! (Middle right)

I did a profile on Shun last year since he's been coming here every summer. If you haven't seen it, check it out!

And Ezekiel Lau won U18 division! (all the way on the right)

Zeke had a great weekend. He won yesterday at the Rip Curl Grom Search and won again today! Not only he won 2 consecutive contests, he had a huge article in Star Advertiser (Hawaii's newspaper) today.

While all of us were busy at Kewalos all weekend, Kelia (Sister) Moniz has been busy in France at Roxy Jam. Not only Roxy used her photo for their event posters, flags, website, and EVERYTHING, she got equal 5th! That's an amazing accomplishment since it was a ASP WORLD longboard championship.

Congrats Sister!

I want to thank everyone for all the emails regarding my dad. Sorry for not replying to you yet, i've been keeping myself busy and i've been kindda avoiding talking about the whole thing to be honest. i'll get back to all of you soon. Thanks you again and i feel blessed to have all of you in my life.

Rip Curl Grom Search 2010 (Hawaii)

It was Rip Curl Grom Search, Hawaii at Kewalos today. The waves came up and were super fun looking all day.

I was impressed by the level of surfing all day. Everyone was surfing so good!

Seth Moniz was the man twinning U12 boys and U14 boys divisions!

Makani Adric won U14 girls division taking off on a set wave that must've been double over head for her.
Brianna Cope won the highest heat score (girls) of the day with 17.?? (sorry i forgot the exact score) out of 20.

Ezekiel Lau took home a few awards along with his U16 division win. He won the highest heat score of 19.50! He also won the wave of the day with his sick right hacking away finishing with a huge no hand air reverse.

Speaking of Zeke, he stole my external hard drive i had from California (well, actually he bugged me about it till i told him he can have it for one night. ha ha) and made a video of his trip. check it out! www.EzekielLau.com
